About Ivy Chee

I believe tourism has the power to transform destinations, strengthen communities, and create meaningful connections between people and cultures.

For more than two decades, I have worked across the Asia Pacific tourism industry, partnering with destinations, attractions, tourism boards, governments, travel technology companies, and private enterprises to develop visitor experiences that drive both economic growth and social impact.

My career has taken me from leading regional commercial and destination partnerships to launching innovative tourism products, managing attractions, driving digital transformation, and speaking at international tourism conferences. Along the way, I have had the privilege of working with organizations including Go City APAC, Merlin Entertainments, Resorts World Sentosa, Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), Anantara Vacation Club, The Grande Whisky Museum, Wego, and Singapore Press Holdings.

One of my proudest achievements was leading the team behind two Guinness World Records for The Grande Whisky Museum and launched Asia Attraction Passes with Go City. Throughout my career, I have also collaborated closely with tourism ministries, destination marketing organizations, online travel agencies, airlines, and industry associations across Asia Pacific.

Today, I am the Managing Director and Partner of Monster Day Tours Malaysia, where I am building immersive cultural, educational, and corporate travel experiences that showcase the richness of Malaysia. From UNESCO heritage walks and community-based tourism to educational study tours and corporate retreats, my focus is on creating experiences that are authentic, meaningful, and commercially sustainable.

Beyond running a tourism business, I advise organizations on tourism strategy, destination marketing, product development, partnership building, and visitor experience design. I am passionate about helping destinations and tourism businesses innovate while preserving local culture and heritage.

Over the years, I have spoken at conferences and industry events across Asia, Europe, and Australia, sharing insights on tourism development, digital transformation, sustainable tourism, destination marketing, and industry collaboration.

Outside of work, I enjoy exploring heritage towns, discovering local food, painting, and supporting initiatives that promote sustainable tourism and cultural preservation.
